From Brazil to South Wales - A pink amethyst journey

From Brazil to South Wales - A very special pink amethyst delivery 💗🌙

Last year, during one of our sourcing trips to Brazil, we came across the most stunning pink amethyst moon.

It was one of those pieces that completely stopped us in our tracks. The colour, the shape, the energy - it was one of those rare statement pieces that you just know is special the moment you see it. Needless to say, it had to come home with us.

If you’ve visited the shop over the past few months, you may have spotted it displayed at the front, patiently waiting to find its forever home.

It didn’t take long for someone to fall in love with it, but there was a small wait involved. The customer was in the middle of moving house, so the moon stayed with us a little longer until everything was ready for delivery.

Well… that day finally arrived ✨

A crystal road trip 🚗💗

We set off on a bit of a road trip, travelling from the Cotswolds over to South Wales to personally deliver the piece.

After hand-picking it in Brazil, it only felt right that we brought it the rest of the way to its new home ourselves.

It’s a large statement carving, so thankfully I had some extra muscle on hand to help with the lifting and carefully positioning it in place once we arrived.

The customer is planning to install an uplight beneath it, so we had a little play around with placement to see how it would look and it is absolutely perfect in the space. It already looks incredible, and once lit, it’s going to be even more magical.

The geology behind pink amethyst 💗

Pink amethyst is a softer, more nurturing variety of amethyst, loved for both its beauty and its gentle energy.

Energetically, it’s often associated with emotional healing, calm, compassion, and self-love — carrying the peaceful properties of traditional amethyst but with a warmer, more heart-centred feel.

Geologically, pink amethyst is found almost exclusively in Patagonia, in southern Brazil and neighbouring Argentina. It forms within ancient volcanic rock cavities, where mineral-rich solutions slowly crystallise over millions of years.

Its delicate pink colouring comes from natural hematite inclusions within the quartz, giving each piece its unique blush tones, patterns, and depth. No two pieces are ever the same, which makes carvings like this moon even more special.

Making space for something new… ✨

Now that this beautiful piece has gone to its forever home, we don’t currently have any large pink amethyst statement pieces in stock… but it does mean we’ve made space for something new.

We do still have a lovely collection of pink amethyst hearts and moons available, perfect for bringing that same gentle energy into your space on a smaller scale.

You can explore the collection here.

From mine to home 💗

Moments like this honestly make us so happy!

Seeing the pieces we’ve hand-selected on our travels being chosen, loved, and given pride of place in someone’s home is the most rewarding feeling, especially when we get to see them in situ.

From the mines of Brazil to a home in South Wales… this pink amethyst moon has had quite the journey ✨
